This website, greenshoot.ca, is operated by Green Shoot Capital Corp. ("Green Shoot", "we") of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information this site collects and how it is handled. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy law.

What we collect. This is an informational site. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email (privacy@greenshoot.ca): your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Beyond cookies strictly necessary for the site to function, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are set only with your consent — see Analytics below. No advertising cookies are used.

How it is used. Inquiries are used solely to respond to you. Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, and is not used to send unsolicited commercial messages.

Service providers. This site is hosted by GoDaddy, whose servers may process technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) as part of operating and securing the site. GoDaddy may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law.

Retention. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed for the matter at hand and any legitimate business record-keeping, then deleted.

Your rights. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask that it be deleted, subject to legal requirements. You may withdraw consent to further contact at any time.

External links. This site links to third-party and affiliated sites (davidjcarr.ca, The Industrialist on Substack, Industrial Patterns, LinkedIn). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page.

Analytics. With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate visitor statistics (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type). Google acts as a service provider and processes this data on servers that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them via the cookie banner; declining does not affect your use of the site, and you can change your choice by clearing your browser cookies.
